I disagree, he's a damn fine player, he's had massive injury problems and that takes getting over.
His performances in the last two games were improvement and it's a real same he's picked up a minor knock as he's been excellent against Swansea in the past for us.

I make whufcroe right about our FBs. I credit Slav for playing an attacking game but the midfield two have clearly left our defence and specifically our FBs exposed far too often.
Both are better attackers than defenders but the shape has undermined their confidence, notably Jenks'.
Incidentally, given that most of our attacking midfielders are not natural wide players, getting Jenks and Cresswell back to what they were doing best last season (banging the crosses in), with the confidence provide by the cover of a midfield three, could be critical to how Carroll performs. Even for those who want to sell him.

Imo the problems with the fullbacks are cresswell has gone a bit Hollywood believing the hype in the papers I saw it in preseason trying drag backs and 60yardx passes when he should just stick to the basics like he did last season that got him the rave reviews getting up and down doing it simple and getting quality crosses in
Jenkinson hasn't got bad over night he's been shit for a calendar year I didn't really rate last season although he did have some decent games early on but I'm just not having him and for the manager to play an out and out centre half there he clearly doesn't trust him either
